In our view, bottle warmers, bottle warmers and the corresponding accessories in particular are not ordinary consumer products, but products with special hygiene requirements. They come into direct contact with baby bottles, bodily fluids such as breast milk and other baby food and therefore with a particularly sensitive area in the everyday life of families.
This is why our returns process is deliberately different from many other industries – especially the fashion industry.

Why baby products are not comparable to fashion
In the fashion industry, returns processes are often highly automated and designed for high speed. In addition, purchase prices and margins in parts of this industry are calculated in such a way that time-consuming manual checks are often not economically viable. The cost of checking, repackaging and restocking is sometimes higher than the actual value of the goods.
As a result, returns are not always carefully checked individually, but are sometimes sorted out, written off or even disposed of, depending on their condition and cost.
This is not an option for us when it comes to products for babies .

Would you want to use a bottle or bottle warmer for your own baby that has already been opened, tested or used by someone else?
This is exactly the question we ask ourselves. And that’s why we act consistently on this topic – for the health of your baby.
Opened hygiene products are excluded from returns
For reasons of hygiene, opened, tested or used products cannot be returned (hygiene articles). This applies in particular to products that come into direct contact with baby bottles, food or sensitive accessories.
The following product categories are affected in particular:
- Bottle Warmer
- Bowl Warmer
- Breast pumps
- Adapter
- Milk powder attachments
The reason is simple:
We want every family to receive a product that they can be sure has not already been opened, tested, used or reconditioned by another family.
For us, it’s not just about processes, but about trust, responsibility and safety in the sensitive baby area.
Why we need more time to process returns
Where returns are possible, we do not simply process returns automatically. Each product must be checked individually and assessed according to our internal quality standards.
These include, among others:
the hygienic visual inspection
checking for signs of use or opening
the technical inspection, if necessary
Clean documentation of the return flow
Only then can a decision be made as to whether a refund or further processing can take place.
Why LIINI charges for returns
LIINI charges for returns. There are also good reasons for this.
Unlike large mass retailers, we do not include returns in our product prices as a lump sum. We want to keep our prices fair and not spread the costs across all customers – including those who deliberately order and do not cause returns.
What’s more, a return not only incurs shipping costs, but also internal costs for acceptance, inspection, processing and documentation. Especially in the sensitive baby sector, this effort is significantly higher than in many other industries.
The cost obligation also helps to avoid unnecessary orders for selection, as is the case in other industries. This is also a conscious decision for us – in terms of sustainability, fairness and the responsible use of resources.
