The LIINI® night station has all the important approvals and meets the high safety and health standards of the EU and Switzerland.

• CE certified: Our night station is, of course, CE certified and complies with the regulations that apply in the EU.
• RoHS certified: The night station has been thoroughly tested for harmful substances and meets the applicable maximum limits for hazardous substances.

For glass and plastic baby bottles

The night station is suitable for all baby bottles. So you can feed your baby with the teats you are used to.

After starting the device, you can specify whether you are using glass or plastic bottles. We have programmed the night station to take into account the different physical properties (insulation, thermal conductivity, etc.) of glass and plastic.

You can therefore use our product for both plastic and glass bottles.

Adjustable feeding amount

The LIINI® night station also lets you set your baby’s feeding amount. You can choose from the following levels:

• 80 ml
• 120 ml
• 150 ml
• 180 ml
• 240 ml

Using this setting, the night station can keep the baby bottle as precisely as possible at the desired drinking temperature. You can adjust the feeding amount to your baby’s growth at any time.

Three temperature levels

In addition to the bottle material and the feeding amount, you can choose from a total of 3 temperature levels:

• 37 °C (for breast milk)
• 40 °C
• 45 °C

When choosing the drinking temperature, please follow the instructions of the formula manufacturer to achieve the best possible mixing with the powder.

Our tests have shown that the drinking temperatures (37 °C, 40 °C, 45 °C) are reached after approximately 3 hours on the night station. This can vary slightly depending on bottle size, bottle material and shape.

We therefore recommend getting to know the night station during the first 1–2 weeks and adapting night feeding with the night station to your own needs and your baby’s rhythm.

For this reason, an acoustic or visual signal to indicate the “correct” temperature has been deliberately left out, in order to meet the individual needs of every child.

A simple wrist check of the liquid before feeding helps: if you feel a slight warmth, the bottle has reached the perfect drinking temperature for your child.

The storage of breast milk follows the ABM Clinical Protocol #8: Human Milk Storage Information for Home Use for Full-Term Infants of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine (revised 2017). It applies to healthy, full-term babies at home. For freshly expressed breast milk it states:

• Room temperature (16–29 °C): optimal for up to 4 hours. Up to 6–8 hours is acceptable only under very clean conditions (washing hands before expressing, clean breast pump and clean containers).
• Milk that was not drunk: discard within 1–2 hours after the feed.
• Warming: do not heat breast milk above 40 °C.

The protocol covers storage at room temperature, not keeping milk warm at 37 °C for several hours. At body temperature, germs multiply faster than at room temperature. We therefore recommend leaving the breast milk on the night station for no more than 4 hours. If it is not drunk within this time, you should discard it.

Take the breast milk out of the fridge immediately before going to bed and place it on the night station. Choose the 37 °C temperature level; the 45 °C level is not intended for breast milk. In the first months, babies typically need a night feed every 2–3 hours.

This information does not apply to premature or sick babies. If you are unsure, we recommend consulting a paediatrician or a midwife to get individual advice and recommendations.

Our night station is equipped with a child lock to ensure children’s safety and to allow automatic switch-off. On the underside of the device there is a small button that detects whether or not a baby bottle has been placed on the station. If there is no baby bottle on the night station, the device switches itself off automatically after 5 seconds. When you place the baby bottle on the night station, you will hear a soft click. This sound signals that the child lock has been released and the night station is working correctly.

• Smooth surface: Make sure the night station stands completely on a smooth surface.
• Even contact: The three rubber feet on the underside of the night station must rest evenly on the surface.
• Avoiding unevenness: Make sure there are no grooves in the table or other unevenness exactly at the height of the button.
• Hard surface: The night station must be placed on a hard surface (wood, stone, metal). The child lock cannot be released on a soft surface (fabric).

   Step 1: Boil tap water

   Before going to bed, boil the water for all night feeds in a saucepan or a kettle.

   We recommend always boiling a little more water – that way you will always have enough water if your baby is a little hungrier than usual one night.

   Step 2: Fill the baby bottle with the feeding amount

   Now immediately fill the baby bottle with the hot, boiled water in the desired feeding amount. After approximately 3 hours, the baby bottle reaches your baby’s drinking temperature range.

   Danger

   Not before 3 hours

   For this reason, the baby bottle should be used for feeding no earlier than 3 hours after being placed on the night station, as otherwise the water is too hot for the baby (risk of burns).

   • Newborns: 30 ml per feed, approx. 7–8 baby bottles per day
   • From week 4: 80 ml per feed, approx. 7–8 baby bottles per day
   • From month 2: 120 ml per feed, approx. 7 baby bottles per day
   • From month 3: 150 ml per feed, approx. 6–7 baby bottles
   • From month 4: 180 ml per feed, approx. 5–6 baby bottles
   • From month 5: individual, according to your baby’s needs

   Please note that these are general recommendations only.

   Step 3: Prepare the formula for the night

   Now prepare the required amount of powder for the night feeds according to the manufacturer’s instructions. We recommend our LIINI® formula portioner, in which you can store the correct amount of powder for 4 baby bottles separately.

   Preparation is much easier with the LIINI® formula dispensers – you can keep the dispenser with the correct amount of powder in it directly on the baby bottle.

   We recommend our LIINI® Night Bundles: you get the LIINI® night station together with the matching dispenser for your baby bottles in a set of 4, so you can conveniently prepare all the bottles for the whole night.

   Step 4: Screw on the baby bottle teat

   If you are using the LIINI® night station without a formula dispenser, you can skip this step and continue with step 6.

   Now screw the teat onto the LIINI® formula dispenser.

   Make sure that the sealing ring is inserted in the teat.

   Only then can it be guaranteed that the baby bottle is 100 % leak-proof!

   Step 5: Attach the formula dispenser

   If you are using the LIINI® night station without a formula dispenser, you can skip this step and continue with step 6.

   Almost done! You can now screw the LIINI® formula dispenser directly onto your baby bottle.

   Caution

   Insert the sealing ring

   Important: Inside the formula dispenser there is an inserted sealing ring. Make sure the ring is in place before you screw the dispenser onto the baby bottle. Otherwise water will leak out during the night.

   Step 6: Select the bottle material (glass or plastic)

   Time to go to bed!

   Our night station is equipped with a child lock to ensure children’s safety.

   Place the night station completely on a hard and even surface (e.g. your bedside table) and then place your prepared baby bottle in the centre of the LIINI® night station. You will hear a soft click – this tells you that the child lock has been released.

   Note

   Place it properly

   Important: If you do not place the night station properly, it switches itself off automatically after 5 seconds for safety reasons because the child lock has failed to release!

   You can start the device by pressing and holding the left area with the power icon for at least 3 seconds.

   By briefly touching the right area with the baby bottle icon, you can now choose between “GLA” and “PLA”.

   • “GLA” stands for glass bottles
   • “PLA” stands for plastic bottles

   You confirm your selection by touching the power icon once.

   

7. 7

   Step 7: Define the feeding amount

   As soon as you have selected the material of your baby bottle, you are taken to the next programming step.

   You can now specify how much your baby drinks. You can choose from the following feeding amounts:

   80 ml / 120 ml / 150 ml / 180 ml / 240 ml

   Here too, you can choose between the different levels by briefly touching the right area with the baby bottle icon. You confirm your selection by touching the power icon once.

   Choose the feeding amount that comes closest to your baby’s current feeding amount. If, for example, your baby drinks 130 ml per bottle, you select the 120 ml level.

   Step 8: Select your baby’s drinking temperature

   In the last step, you now select your baby’s desired drinking temperature.

   You can choose from the following temperature levels:

   37 °C / 40 °C / 45 °C

   Here too, you can choose between the different levels by briefly touching the right area with the baby bottle icon. You confirm your selection by touching the power icon once.

   Step 9: Good night!

   Now we wish you a really restful night with loooooots of sleep.

   The night station now keeps the baby bottle at the desired drinking temperature until your baby’s next hunger.

    Step 10: Feed your baby during the night

    With the LIINI® formula dispenser:

    As soon as your baby wakes up in the night, you can take the baby bottle off the night station.

    With a simple counter-clockwise turn you open the inside of the formula dispenser. You can then mix the powder with the water using circular motions and feed your baby directly, with the dispenser still screwed on. The dispenser does not need to be removed!

    Without the LIINI® formula dispenser:

    Prepare the baby bottle as usual and add the powder in the desired amount.

    Step 11: Prepare the next baby bottle

    Put your baby back to sleep and prepare the next feed.

    Fill the baby bottle again with the desired feeding amount, screw the already prepared formula dispenser onto the bottle and start the LIINI® night station again (from step 6).

    Continue your sleep until the next feed.

    Step 12: Cleaning before the next use

    During the day, you can now sterilise or boil the formula dispensers used last night.

    Caution

    No more than 5 minutes

    The LIINI® formula dispensers may be boiled in boiling water or sterilised in a steriliser for a maximum of 5 minutes. If the 5 minutes are exceeded, the individual components can become deformed, which leads to leaks or the inner silicone part coming loose. In such a case, all warranty claims are excluded!

    The night station needs no special care and is child’s play to clean.

    Wipe the heating area with a damp cloth 2–3 times a week – that’s it.

How to clean the formula dispensers

Service life of the formula dispensers

The dispensers are designed for the temporary storage of formula powder, especially during the night. Due to regular mechanical stress – for example from friction of the powder, frequent boiling or sterilising – they are subject to natural wear, in particular the integrated silicone seals (closing membrane).

The formula dispensers are therefore considered wearing parts. A free replacement is only granted if a material or manufacturing defect occurs within three months of the purchase date. Use beyond this period, or a defect after this period, is not considered a defect within the meaning of the warranty.

Important to note in order to prevent leaks.

Check before screwing on

All LIINI® formula dispensers have an inserted sealing ring inside. This ensures that the connection between your baby bottle and the dispenser is 100 % leak-proof.

MAM plastic bottles: choose one temperature level higher

If you combine the night station with MAM bottles, please note the following:

The anti-colic and sterilisation system used by MAM is excellent for preventing colic and makes it easier to sterilise the baby bottle.

Our tests of the LIINI® night station in combination with MAM’s Easy Start plastic bottles have shown that the base valve of the baby bottles insulates the heat given off by the night station very effectively.

Philips Avent glass bottles: do not screw on too tightly

Please note the following if you use glass bottles.

Because of the tolerances of the glass threads, the dispenser may otherwise be “overtightened”. It is perfectly sufficient to screw it on with only light pressure. Leak-tightness is also ensured with light tightening.

You can test this by closing the dispenser, filling the baby bottle with water and then screwing the dispenser onto the bottle with light pressure. When you swirl the bottle, you will see that it is leak-proof.

LIINI baby bottles: keeping warm is not possible

Important information if you use our glass bottles.

Trust is good – checking is better.

Tolerances in warming temperatures

Taking into account the bottle material (glass or plastic) and the feeding amount, we succeeded during the development phase in matching the individual variables well to one another. We calibrated and fine-tuned the night station in several hundred measurements.

However, because of the large number of different baby bottles and their shapes, materials, bottle thicknesses and ways of working, it is almost impossible to achieve the values without corresponding tolerances.

For this reason, we would like to point out that the displayed values can deviate by up to +/- 3 °C.

In our tests, we calibrated the following baby bottles (glass and plastic versions) and can recommend them in combination with the night station:

• Philips Avent
• MAM
• NUK First Choice
• NUK Nature Sense
• NUK Perfect Match
• Medela

LIINI® stands for quality.

The products carry a warranty of 24 months in total from receipt of the order. Wearing parts are completely excluded from the warranty.

Wearing parts are:

• Formula dispensers including sealing ring (a free replacement is only granted if a material or manufacturing defect occurs within three months of the purchase date, see section “Service life of the formula dispensers”)

The warranty is also excluded:

• If the defect is due to improper handling or use of the product that does not correspond to normal use.
• If the defect is due to a malfunction caused by incorrect operation that does not correspond to the instructions described in the relevant user manual.
• If the defect is due to external interference (“third-party intervention”), in particular repairs and interventions by persons who have not been authorised to do so by LIINI AG.
• If the product has been damaged by contact with water / water damage.
• Normal signs of wear and tear do not give rise to a warranty claim.

LIINI AG may fulfil the warranty either by partial replacement (e.g. spare parts) or by complete replacement with an equivalent product.

To check a warranty claim, the customer must open a ticket in the “Problem with device / defect” category of the ticket system at www.LIINI.ch/support and provide the following evidence:

• Video showing the problem
• Picture 1: top of the device (heating area and control panel)
• Picture 2: underside of the device

If LIINI AG finds corresponding damage to the device (e.g. a misshapen heating area, atypical scratches or dents, etc.), any warranty is excluded.

By submitting the ticket, the customer confirms that all information is truthful. Should it emerge during the processing of the warranty case that warranty fraud has taken place, LIINI AG reserves the right to take appropriate legal action.
