Certifications

• CE certified: Our breast pump is, of course, CE certified and complies with the regulations in force in the EU.
• RoHS certified: The breast pump has been thoroughly tested for harmful substances and meets the applicable maximum limits for hazardous substances.

Please note these points before you use the pump for the first time.

Fully charge

Before first use, the breast pump must be fully charged using the LIINI® charging cable included in the scope of delivery.

Boil all components

Before first use, all plastic / silicone components should either be sterilised in a steriliser or boiled in boiling water.

Check the scope of delivery

After receiving your LIINI® breast pump, check the scope of delivery:

• 1x LIINI® breast pump
• 1x LIINI® cleaning brush
• 1x LIINI® silicone cushion 25 mm (already installed)
• 3x LIINI® breast nipple insert (15 / 17 / 21 mm)
• 1x LIINI® breast milk container (already installed)
• 1x LIINI® valve (already installed)
• 1x LIINI® vacuum unit (already installed)
• 1x LIINI® fabric USB-C charging cable (without adapter)
• 1x LIINI® bra extender

For the LIINI® breast pump to work properly, you must make sure that all components are installed correctly.

The following image shows an exploded view with a legend of the breast pump.

With our nipple guide, you can find the perfect insert for your breast.

1. Keep your upper body upright and stimulate your breast so that your nipple becomes erect. Measure each breast separately, as nipples can differ.
2. Now place the card on your breast and pass the nipple through the individual holes until the card rests completely against your breast. The areola is not relevant for determining the correct insert.
3. Now use the table on the card to choose the right insert.

With just 4 touch buttons, operating the LIINI® breast pump could hardly be simpler:

• On/off button: Touch it for 3 seconds to start the breast pump. To switch it off, touch the touch area again for 3 seconds. If you want to pause pumping, simply press the touch button briefly.
• Change mode: A single touch switches between the two modes, stimulation and pumping.
• Decrease pump strength: Press the touch button with the minus to decrease the pump strength.
• Increase pump strength: Press the touch button with the plus to increase the pump strength.

Follow these instructions after cleaning the pump.

   Step 1: Install the valve and diaphragm

   Caution

   Components must be dry

   All components must be 100 % dry before assembly. Moisture can cause leaks!

   Install the valve (1) in the lower part of the vacuum unit (2). You can simply slide the valve (1) over it as far as it will go.

   Install the diaphragm (3) in the upper part of the vacuum unit (2). Make sure the edge of the diaphragm (3) sits evenly all the way round (no air gaps).

   Step 2: Insert the vacuum unit

   You can now insert the assembled vacuum unit (4) into the housing (5) of the LIINI® breast pump. Push the vacuum unit (4) upwards in the housing (5) so that the diaphragm (3) seals tightly against the housing.

   Step 3: Screw on the breast milk container

   Now screw the breast milk container (6) clockwise onto the housing (5). Make sure the thread of the breast milk container (6) does not cross-thread while you screw it on.

   Step 4: Insert the silicone cushion

   Now take the silicone cushion (7) and fit it into the LIINI® breast pump.

   Note

   Mark facing up

   Important: Make sure the silicone cushion (7) sits fully against the housing and the marking line (red) on the silicone cushion faces upwards.

   Step 5: Insert the breast nipple inserts

   Almost done! If the silicone cushion with its 25 mm opening (7) is too large for you, you can now also insert the matching breast nipple insert, using our nipple guide.

   • Breast nipple insert 15 mm (8): For nipple diameters of 11–13 mm
   • Breast nipple insert 17 mm (9): For nipple diameters of 13–15 mm
   • Breast nipple insert 21 mm (10): For nipple diameters of 15–19 mm
   • Silicone cushion 25 mm (7): For nipple diameters over 19 mm

   

Here is how to use the LIINI® breast pump.

   Step 1: Position the breast pump correctly

   Correct positioning of the breast pump is extremely important. Only by placing the LIINI® breast pump correctly will you achieve the comfort you need while pumping and so increase the amount of breast milk expressed.

   Place the LIINI® breast pump in your nursing bra and make sure your nipple is centred in the silicone cushion or the matching breast nipple insert.

   Step 2: Adjust your nursing bra

   The LIINI® breast pump must be pressed against your breast with sufficient pressure by your nursing bra.

   Make sure there are no gaps between your breast and the breast pump. That is why it is important to adjust the straps of your nursing bra accordingly.

   If your nursing bra is not adjustable, you can use the bra extender included in the scope of delivery.

   Step 3: Start the breast pump

   Start the LIINI® breast pump by touching the on/off button for at least 3 seconds.

   The breast pump now begins to stimulate the milk flow in stimulation mode. After 2 minutes, it switches automatically to pumping mode.

   You can also switch to pumping mode manually, according to how you feel – simply touch the mode button briefly.

   If you want to pause pumping, briefly touch the on/off button. The pump switches itself off after 5 minutes at the latest if you do not restart it.

   Step 4: Adjust the intensity to your needs

   The vacuum of the breast pump is adjustable and can be adapted to your needs using a total of 5 intensity levels. For example, there are days when your nipples are more irritated than usual. Simply adjust the intensity.

   To change the intensity, briefly touch the area of the two touch buttons with the plus and the minus. The LED display shows you the corresponding level.

   Note

   Choose a comfortable level

   Tip: A strong vacuum does not necessarily mean a larger amount of breast milk – quite the opposite. So always run the pump at a level that is comfortable for you.

   Step 5: Switch off the pump

   Expressed enough breast milk? Then you can switch the breast pump off by touching the on/off button for 3 seconds.

   Take the breast pump carefully out of your nursing bra.

   Step 6: Store the breast milk

   You can store the breast milk directly in the container, with the lid closed, in the fridge.

   For freshly expressed breast milk, the ABM Clinical Protocol #8: Human Milk Storage Information for Home Use for Full-Term Infants of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine (revised 2017) gives these guideline values for healthy, full-term babies:

   • Fridge (4 °C or colder): optimal for up to 4 days. Up to 5–8 days is acceptable only under very clean conditions (washing hands before expressing, clean breast pump and clean containers).
   • Room temperature (16–29 °C): optimal for up to 4 hours. Up to 6–8 hours is acceptable only under very clean conditions.
   • Milk that was not drunk: discard within 1–2 hours after the feed.

   Step 7: Clean the components

   All plastic and silicone parts can be either sterilised in a steriliser or boiled in boiling water without any problem.

   For the housing, we recommend mild cleaning agents and a damp cloth.

   

Here is how to see whether the breast pump still has battery power.

Check the battery level

You can check the battery level of the LIINI® breast pump by holding down both touch buttons, “Increase vacuum” and “Decrease vacuum”, at the same time for at least 2 seconds. The LED display then shows you the battery level.

• 1x LED light: 20 % battery
• 2x LED lights: 40 % battery
• 3x LED lights: 60 % battery
• 4x LED lights: 80 % battery
• All LED lights: 100 % charged

If the LED lights are flashing, the battery level is very low. The breast pump must then be charged.

LIINI® stands for quality.

The products carry a warranty of 24 months in total from receipt of the order. Wearing parts are completely excluded from the warranty.

Wearing parts are:

• Battery (the battery of the device has a service life of approx. 500 full charge cycles. After that, the battery still delivers approx. 80 % of its original performance).
• Silicone parts (e.g. silicone cushion, diaphragm and vacuum valve)

The warranty is also excluded:

• If the defect is due to improper handling or use of the product that does not correspond to normal use.
• To ensure the longevity and safety of the breast pump, it is important that it is used in accordance with the manual and our manufacturer’s specifications. We would like to point out that permanently connecting the battery-powered device to a power source for a longer period, especially overnight, impairs battery performance and service life and greatly increases wear. In such a case, all warranty and guarantee claims are excluded!
• If the defect is due to a malfunction caused by incorrect operation that does not correspond to the instructions described in the relevant user manual.
• If the defect is due to external interference (“third-party intervention”), in particular repairs and interventions by persons who have not been authorised to do so by LIINI AG.
• If the product has been damaged by contact with water / water damage.
• Normal signs of wear and tear do not give rise to a warranty claim.

LIINI AG may fulfil the warranty either by partial replacement (e.g. spare parts such as the diaphragm or valve) or by complete replacement with an equivalent product.

To check a warranty claim, the customer must open a ticket in the “Problem with device / defect” category of the ticket system at www.LIINI.ch/support and provide the following evidence:

• Video showing the problem
• Picture 1: front of the device
• Picture 2: back of the device
• Picture 3: underside of the device
• Picture 4: vacuum unit with diaphragm and valve

If LIINI AG finds corresponding damage to the device (e.g. cracks in the housing, atypical scratches or dents, etc.), any warranty is excluded.

By submitting the ticket, the customer confirms that all information is truthful. Should it emerge during the processing of the warranty case that warranty fraud has taken place, LIINI AG reserves the right to take appropriate legal action.
