Just a few more steps for restful nights
For baby bottles made of glass & plastic
The night station is suitable for all baby bottles. You can therefore feed your baby with the usual bottle teats.
After starting the device, you can specify whether you are using glass or plastic bottles. We have programmed the night station so that the different physical properties (insulation, thermal conductivity, etc.) of glass and plastic are taken into account.
This means you can use our product for both plastic and glass bottles.
Adjustable drinking volume
The LIINI® night station also has the option of adjusting the amount your baby drinks. You can choose from the following levels:
- 80 ml
- 120 ml
- 150 ml
- 180 ml
- 240 ml
Based on this information, the night station can keep the baby bottle as warm as possible at the desired drinking temperature. You can adjust the drinking quantity to your baby’s growth at any time.
Three temperature levels
In addition to specifying the bottle material and the amount to drink, you can choose from a total of 3 temperature levels:
- 37°C (For breast milk)
- 40°C
- 45°C
When choosing the drinking temperature, please follow the milk powder manufacturer’s instructions in order to achieve the best possible mixing with the powder.
When is the drinking temperature reached?
Our tests have shown that the drinking temperatures (37°C, 40°C, 45°C) are reached after about 3 hours on the night ward. This may vary slightly depending on the bottle size, bottle material and shape.
We therefore recommend getting to know the night unit during the first 1-2 weeks and adapting night-time feeding with the night unit to your own needs and the baby’s rhythm.
For this reason, an acoustic or visual signal to indicate the “correct” temperature was deliberately omitted in order to meet the individual needs of each child.
A simple wrist check of the liquid before feeding helps: if a slight warmth is felt, the bottle has reached the perfect drinking temperature for the child.
Under no circumstances should you use the outside temperature of the baby bottle as a guide!
Use with breast milk
Freshly expressed breast milk can be stored at room temperature (10-29°C) under very clean conditions (wash hands before expressing, clean breast pump) for up to 8 hours. This recommendation is based on ABM Clinical Protocol No. 8: Storage of Breast Milk, published by the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine.
We recommend taking the breast milk out of the fridge immediately before going to bed and placing it on the night ward. In the first few months, babies typically need a night-time feed every 2-3 hours. Our practical tests have shown that keeping breast milk warm or reheating it for this period is not beneficial for our baby and the mother’s breast milk did not pose a problem.
The shelf life of breast milk can vary greatly and depends on many individual factors, such as the mother’s eating habits, health and lifestyle. We are therefore unable to make a general recommendation on the shelf life of your breast milk.
If you are unsure, we recommend consulting a pediatrician or midwife for individual advice and recommendations.
Help - my device switches off automatically!
Our night station is equipped with a child safety lock to ensure the safety of children and to enable automatic switch-off. There is a small button on the underside of the device that detects whether a baby bottle is placed on the station or not. If there is no baby bottle on the night station, the device switches off automatically after 5 seconds. When the baby bottle is placed on the night station, you will hear a soft click. This sound indicates that the childproof lock has been unlocked and the night station is working correctly.
- Smooth surface: Make sure that the night station is standing completely on a smooth surface.
- Even contact: The three rubber feet on the underside of the night station must rest evenly.
- Avoid unevenness: Make sure that there are no table grooves or other unevenness at the exact height of the knob.
- Hard surface: The night station must be placed on a hard surface (wood, stone, metal). The childproof lock cannot be unlocked on a soft surface (fabric).
Step-by-step instructions
Peaceful nights for you and your whole family explained step-by-step with pictures
1. Boil tap water
Boil the water for all night feeds in a pan or kettle before going to bed.
We recommend that you always boil a little more water – this way you will always have enough water if your baby is a little hungrier than usual during the night.
2. Fill baby bottle with water
Now immediately fill the baby bottle with the desired amount of hot, boiled water. The baby bottle will reach the baby’s drinking temperature range after approximately 3 hours.
For this reason, the baby bottle should be used for feeding after 3 hours at the earliest for feeding, as otherwise the water is too hot for the baby water is too hot for the baby (risk of burns).
- Newborns: 30 ml per meal, approx. 7-8 baby bottles per day
- From the 4th week of life: 80 ml per meal, approx. 7-8 baby bottles per day
- From the 2nd month of life: 120ml per meal, approx. 7 baby bottles per day
- From 3 months of age: 150ml per meal, approx. 6-7 baby bottles
- From 4 months of age: 180ml per meal, approx. 5-6 baby bottles
- From 5 months of age: Customized according to your baby’s needs
Please note that these are only general recommendations.
3. Prepare milk powder for the night
Now prepare the required amount of powder for the night feeds according to the manufacturer’s instructions. We recommend our LIINI® milk powder portioner, in which you can store the correct amount of powder for 4 baby bottles separately.
Preparation is even easier with the LIINI® milk powder attachments – you can store the attachment with the correct amount of powder in it directly on the baby bottle.
We recommend our LIINI® Night Bundles: You receive the LIINI® Night Station and the matching attachment for your baby bottles in a set of 4 and can therefore conveniently prepare all bottles for the whole night.
4. Unscrew the baby bottle teat
If you are using the LIINI® night station without the milk powder attachment, you can skip this step and continue with step 6.
Now screw the bottle teat to the LIINI® milk powder attachment.
Make sure that the sealing ring is inserted in the bottle teat.
This is the only way to guarantee that the baby bottle is 100% leak-proof!
5. Attach the milk powder dispenser
If you are using the LIINI® night station without the milk powder attachment, you can skip this step and continue with step 6.
Almost there! You can now screw the LIINI® milk powder attachment directly onto your baby bottle.
Important: There is an inserted sealing ringinside the milk powder attachment. Make sure that the ring is inserted before screwing it to the baby bottle. Otherwise, water will leak out during the night.
6. Select bottle material (glass or plastic)
Time to go to bed! 🙂
Our night station is equipped with a child safety lock to ensure the safety of children.
Place the night station completely on a hard and even surface (e.g. your bedside table) and now place your prepared baby bottle in the middle of the LIINI® night station. You will hear a soft click – this indicates that the childproof lock is unlocked.
Important: If you do not place the night station correctly, the night station will automatically switch off after 5 seconds for safety reasons because the childproof lock has failed to unlock!
You can start the device by pressing and holding the left area with the power icon for at least 3 seconds.
You can now choose between “GLA” and “PLA” by briefly touching the right-hand area of the baby bottle icon.
- “GLA” stands for glass bottles
- “PLA” stands for plastic bottles
Confirm your selection by tapping the power icon once.
7. Define drinking quantity
As soon as you have selected the material for your baby bottle, you will be taken to the next program step.
You can now specify how much your baby drinks. You can choose from the following drinking quantities:
- 80 ml / 120 ml / 150 ml / 180 ml / 240 ml
Here too, you can choose between the different levels by briefly touching the right-hand area next to the baby bottle icon. Confirm your selection by tapping the power icon once.
Choose the amount that comes closest to the amount your baby is currently drinking. For example, if your baby drinks 130 ml per bottle, select the 120 ml level.
8. Select your baby's drinking temperature
In the last step, select the desired drinking temperature for your baby.
You can select the following temperature levels:
37°C / 40°C / 45°C
Here too, you can choose between the different levels by briefly touching the right-hand area next to the baby bottle icon. Confirm your selection by tapping the power icon once.
9. Good night! 🙂
Now we wish you a very restful night with lots of sleep.
The night station now keeps the baby bottle at the desired drinking temperature until your baby is hungry again.
By the way – do you already know our LIINI® sleep aid for your baby?
With 5 different songs and 5 different sounds, you can gently accompany your baby to sleep.
10. Feeding the baby at night
With LIINI® milk powder attachment:
As soon as your baby wakes up in the night, you can take the baby bottle from the night unit.
You can open the inside of the milk powder attachment with a simple anti-clockwise twist. You can then mix the powder with the water using circular movements and feed your baby directly with the attachment screwed on. The attachment does not need to be removed!
Without LIINI® milk powder attachment:
Prepare the baby bottle as usual and add the desired amount of milk powder.
11. Prepare the next baby bottle
Put your baby back to sleep and prepare for the next feed.
Refill the baby bottle with the desired amount of milk, screw the prepared milk powder attachment onto the bottle and start the LIINI® Night Station again (from step 6).
Continue your sleep until the next feeding.
Good night! 🙂
12. Cleaning before the next use
During the day, you can now sterilize or boil the milk powder attachments used last night.
The LIINI® Milk powder dispensers may be used for a maximum of 5 minutes in boiling water or sterilized in a sterilizer.
If the 5-minute time limit is exceeded, the individual components may deform, resulting in leakage or loosening of the inner silicone part. In such a case, any warranty is excluded!
The night stationrequires no special care and is very easy to clean.
Wipe the heating area 2-3 times a week with a damp cloth – that’s it.
Correct cleaning of the LIINI® night station
For the longevity of the device and the safety of you and your children!
How to clean the night station
The night station requires no special care and is very easy to clean.
Wipe the heating area 2-3 times a week with a damp cloth – that’s it.
Improper handling can result in serious risks.
Therefore, please observe the following instructions to avoid danger:
-
No exposure to water: Immersing the night station in water or cleaning it under running water will result in unavoidable total damage. Such damage can lead to fires, electric shocks or other accidents. If water enters the product, it must not be used under any circumstances!
How to clean the milk powder dispensers
The LIINI® milk powder attachments may be used for a maximum of 5 minutes in boiling water or sterilized in a sterilizer.
If the 5-minute time limit is exceeded, the individual components may deform, resulting in leakage or loosening of the inner silicone part. In such a case, any warranty is excluded!
The dispensers must not be cleaned in the dishwasher!
Sealing ring in the milk powder attachment
Important to note to prevent leakage.
Check before screwing
All LIINI® milk powder attachments have an inserted sealing ring inside. This ensures that the connection between your baby bottle and the attachment is 100% leak-proof.
Note for use with MAM plastic bottles
If you combine the night station with MAM bottles, please note the following information
Select one temperature level higher
The anti-colic and sterilization system used by MAM is ideal for preventing collics and makes it easier to sterilize the baby bottle.
Our tests of the LIINI® night station in combination with the Easy Start plastic bottles from MAM have shown that the bottom valve of the baby bottles insulates the heat emitted by the night station very well.
For this reason, we recommend that you select one temperature level higher when using MAM plastic bottles:
- If you want a drinking temperature of 37°C, program the night station to 40°C
- If you want a drinking temperature of 40°C, program the night station to 45°C
Note for use with Philips Avent glass bottles
Please note the following information if you are using glass bottles
Do not screw too tightly!
If you use the milk powder attachments with Philips Avent glass bottles, it is important not to screw the attachment too tightly onto the bottle.
Due to the tolerances of the glass threads, it can otherwise happen that the attachment “overtightens”. It is completely sufficient to screw it on with only light pressure. Tightness is guaranteed even with light screwing.
You can test this by closing the attachment, filling the baby bottle with water and then screwing the attachment onto the bottle with light pressure. During the swivel test you will then see that the tightness is guaranteed.
Checking the temperature - correct method
Trust is good – control is better
Tolerances for heating temperatures
Taking into account the bottle material (glass or plastic) and the amount to be drunk, we succeeded in harmonizing the individual variables during the development phase. We have calibrated and adjusted the night station in several hundred measurements.
However, due to the large number of different baby bottles and corresponding shapes, materials, bottle thicknesses and functions, it is almost impossible to achieve the values without corresponding tolerances.
For this reason, we would like to point out that the displayed values can deviate by up to – / + 3°C.
We have tested the following baby bottles (glass and plastic versions) and can recommend them in combination with the night station:
- Philips Avent
- MAM
- NUK First Choice
- NUK Nature Sense
- NUK Perfect Match
- Medela
