Finally, some quiet nights again

The first few months with a baby are wonderful—but they’re often marked by short nights. With the LIINI® Night Station, you can prepare your baby’s bottles before bedtime and have them ready at feeding temperature at any time during the night. No more kettles, no more waiting, and no more frantic preparation while half-asleep. This way, your baby can go back to sleep more quickly after feeding, and the night will be much more relaxing for Mom and Dad, too. The bottle is ready for use in seconds when needed.

Trustpilot

At night, every minute your baby spends crying counts. With the LIINI® night station, you can make up a bottle at night without boiling water and waiting for it to cool: the station keeps boiled water in the bottle at drinking temperature, and all you add is the powder. For night feeds, that means: powder in, shake, feed.

Bottles at night: 4 methods compared, from kettle to night station

At night, parents essentially have four options:

MethodHow it worksAdvantageDisadvantage
Kettle and coolingBoil water at night and let it cool to drinking temperatureWater always freshly boiledTakes time while your baby waits; light and noise in the kitchen
Flask of boiled waterFill with hot water in the evening, mix with cold boiled water at nightNo device needed by the bedMixing and checking the temperature while half asleep; water cools down overnight
Formula prep machinePrepares the water at the push of a button, on some models with the powder tooOnly a few stepsTakes up space in the kitchen, needs regular cleaning and descaling
Night stationFill the bottle with boiled water in the evening and place it on the station, add powder at nightWater ready at drinking temperature, no cooling, no mixingNeeds setting up in the evening; according to the instructions, it takes about 3 hours to reach drinking temperature

A formula prep machine for night feeds usually lives in the kitchen. The night station is flat and only needs a hard, level surface, such as your bedside table. When you start it, you set the bottle material (glass or plastic), the amount of the feed and the temperature. If there's no bottle on it, it switches off automatically.

Hygiene: keep the water warm, add the powder just before feeding

Made-up formula shouldn't be kept warm for hours, because germs multiply quickly in warm milk. That's why only water waits in the bottle on the station. The powder goes in right before the feed.

  • Boil the water before you go to bed and fill the bottles straight away while it's still hot – this is the method LIINI® describes.
  • Measure the powder according to the instructions on your formula packaging.
  • Throw away any leftovers instead of keeping them.
  • Wipe the heating area with a damp cloth 2 to 3 times a week and never immerse the station in water.

The water temperature your formula needs for mixing is stated on the packaging. If you're unsure, ask your midwife or paediatrician.

Formula powder attachments for MAM, Medela, NUK, Philips Avent

So that you're not fiddling with a tin and scoop at night, there are LIINI® formula powder attachments. The attachment sits directly on your branded bottle and holds a pre-measured portion ready. Water and powder stay separate but sit together on the station.

After use, rinse the attachment with warm water and leave it open to dry. The seal is also available on its own. The station and a matching attachment come together as the Night Bundle, which costs less than buying them separately.

Formula dispenser for on the go

For days out or a night at the grandparents', there's the LIINI® formula dispenser. Fill its four compartments with the amount of powder you need. With the Twist&Fill mechanism, you add one portion after another to the bottle while you're out, with no scoop and no tin. Unlike a large dispenser that stays on the kitchen worktop, it fits in your changing bag.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make up a bottle quickly at night?

The quickest way is to prepare in the evening: boil the water, fill the bottle with the amount for the feed and place it on the LIINI® night station. It keeps the water at 37, 40 or 45 °C. At night, add the measured powder, shake and feed.

Can I make up the bottle in the evening and keep it warm?

Better not: germs multiply quickly in warm, made-up milk. Keep only the boiled water warm and add the powder just before feeding. Follow the instructions on your formula packaging and, if you're unsure, ask your midwife or paediatrician.

How long does the night station take to bring the water to drinking temperature?

If you fill the bottle with freshly boiled, hot water, the instructions say it reaches the chosen drinking temperature after about 3 hours. The station then holds that temperature until your baby is hungry. So set it up before you go to bed.

Which bottles fit on the night station?

The LIINI night station works without adapters with bottles from Philips Avent, MAM, NUK (First Choice, Nature Sense, Perfect Match) and Medela, in glass or plastic. The double-walled LIINI glass bottle doesn't fit, as the station is made for single-walled bottles.

What's the difference between the formula powder attachment and the dispenser?

The formula powder attachment sits directly on your branded bottle and holds one portion ready, which is ideal on the station at night. The dispenser has four compartments for several portions and is designed for when you're out and about. The two work well together.
