A bottle warmer brings breast milk or formula to drinking temperature, without a pan and without a water bath. LIINI® offers two types: battery-powered warmers for on the go and a 230 V warmer for home. This buying guide shows you which bottle warmer suits your everyday life and what to look out for when buying one.
On the go or at home: which bottle warmer suits you?
What matters most isn't the model, but where your baby usually feeds.
On the go: 4.0 PRO and BASIC with battery
If you're often in the car, on the train or at the playground, you need a device without a cable. The LIINI® 4.0 PRO has a 15,000 mAh battery, warms with 75 W and is IP66-rated against dust and water jets. It measures 81.5 × 93.5 mm and weighs 410 g. The LIINI BASIC is the more affordable battery model. You'll find both under portable bottle warmers.
At home: LIINI Home with 230 V
If you mostly prepare bottles in the kitchen, the LIINI Home is more practical. It runs on mains power, so you never have to charge it, and it warms with up to 211 W. It's available with a Swiss or an EU plug. You'll find all the details under bottle warmers for home. If you need both, the Home also comes in a bundle with a battery-powered warmer for on the go.

Buying a baby bottle warmer: 5 things that matter
- Warming without a water bath: A water bath takes time, space and supervision, and it leaves the bottle wet. The LIINI® 4.0 PRO and the Home warm the milk directly in the bottle, with no decanting. With the 4.0 PRO this takes a few minutes, depending on the starting temperature, the bottle size and the material.
- Temperature settings for breast milk and formula: Breast milk should only be warmed gently. The 4.0 PRO and the Home have a dedicated 37 °C setting for it; for formula, you choose 40, 45 or 50 °C. Even so, quickly check the temperature on your wrist before feeding, as the bottle material and the surroundings affect the result.
- Does it fit your bottle? According to the user manual, Philips Avent and the LIINI double-walled glass baby bottle fit the 4.0 PRO and the Home without an adapter. For MAM, NUK, Medela, Tommee Tippee, Twistshake and other brands, there are matching bottle warmer adapters. Older models such as the LIINI 2.0 also work with adapters: according to the product page, the MAM adapter fits generations 1.0 to 4.0.
- Cleaning and seals: The 4.0 PRO must not go in the dishwasher or in water. Before each use, wipe the heating plate with a disinfectant wipe for baby products. Seals are wearing parts, so make sure you can buy them individually. With LIINI, you can.
- Safety: A device for on the go should be able to handle rain and dust. The 4.0 PRO is IP66-rated, and the USB-C port has a silicone cover. The Home switches off automatically if you don't select a setting within 30 seconds of switching it on. For every device: never leave it running unattended, and keep it out of children's reach.
How a bottle warmer works without a water bath
Using the LIINI® 4.0 PRO as an example:
- Fill: Pour breast milk, formula or water into the bottle.
- Screw on: Screw the device upside down onto the bottle, with an adapter if needed. The heat passes through the stainless steel heating plate straight into the milk.
- Choose a setting: 37 °C for breast milk, 40, 45 or 50 °C for formula.
- Wait: The device beeps once the temperature is reached. It then keeps the bottle warm until you switch it off.
- Check and feed: Unscrew the device, put the teat on and quickly test the temperature.
For formula on the go, warm just the water first. Then unscrew the bottle, add the formula powder as directed by the manufacturer and shake.
For baby food and night feeds, too
If your child is already eating purées, the LIINI® portable baby food warmer uses its battery to warm shop-bought and homemade baby food. For night-time, there's the night station for bottles: it keeps water in the bottle at drinking temperature, and you only add the formula powder just before feeding.
